Resco, a supplier of advanced developer tools and components for mobile devices, today announced the availability of Resco ImageBox for .NET CF Beta. This professional Visual Studio control allows developers to open, display, modify and save images in various formats. Supported formats include jpg, bmp, multiframe gif, png, tiff, and more. The ImageBox control also supports the touch scroll feature which allows users to scroll images using their finger instead of the stylus.

The increasing performance of today's mobile devices as well as the variety of hardware equipment, such as cameras, offers new possibilities of utilization of these devices. An insurance agent, for example, could use an application allowing him to take a picture of the scene of accident, modify it and send it to the central database for further reference. Other business sectors requiring photographic documentation, such as real estate agents or machinery servicemen, also require this kind of applications. The Tiff file format support is suitable for fax transmission applications.
